Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. Reading, notes, lists and sync are free. A subscription with more cloud space for books will come later, but everything available now stays free.

Do I need an account?

No. Without signing in everything stays on your device. An account is only needed to sync between devices.

Where are my books kept?

On your device. If you sign in, the book files are also kept in private cloud storage in the EU, so you can open a book on another device.

Which formats?

FB2, FB2.ZIP, EPUB and TXT. No PDF yet.
